Hi, I’m Ross Maxwell, a full time professional Day Trader and Trading mentor with more than 20 years experience trading the financial markets.
Since leaving school at the age of 18, I have spent my entire career working in the financial markets. I spent many years in both London and Hong Kong, registered and regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), SAFEX (South African Futures Exchange) and HKSI (Hong Kong Securities Institute).
After more than a decade working in London and Hong Kong, I decided I wanted to go it alone and trade for myself. The consequent steep learning curve taught me a lot about myself, not just as a trader, but also as an individual.
I learnt very early on in my trading career, that the secret to long-term success in trading did not lie solely in making the big returns, no matter what the risk, but in a deep understanding of the risks involved and how to manage those risks.
There are way too many ‘traders’ out there who are much better salesmen and marketers than traders, promoting reckless trading with fool-proof, ‘holy grail’ systems that never stand the test of time.
I was fortunate to realise this early on in my trading career, and transferred this into my Day Trading career when I left working in the City.
Within 18 months of starting my career as a Day Trader, I was registered with ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission), providing coaching and mentoring to hundreds of novice traders from all over the world. I have been helping them overcome issues and achieve their goals ever since, with great success.
